Don't Startle the Clown
'Cover Me' is a juxtaposition of opposing personalities who nonetheless are both searching for happiness in Vancouver.
Burlesque Begins
When the clown is stuck onstage with burlesque music playing, she simple has to seize the moment and try to entertain the audience.
Comedy Burlesque
Under pressure, the clown delivers a hilarious performance that sees her rubber gloves, pantaloons, socks, and even her clown nose go flying.
Yoga Unicycle
Sidonie's tongue-in-cheek depiction of yoga on a unicycle as 'the latest fitness trend' is spot on.
Unicycle
As Sidonie tries to connect with the audience, her performance becomes more and more heartfelt.
The Raincloud Appears
The Raincloud is the fulcrum that brings the two characters together. Changeable and dynamic, it mimics the unique weather of Vancouver.
Creative Tangle
The multi-corde apparatus of the Raincloud was built by Tanya, as well as the scultural cloud atop it.
Duo Raincloud
As Tanya and Sidonie's characters come together, they create unique and beautiful shapes within the cloud.
Raincloud
The innovative positions and sequences on the raincloud are a testament to what can be created with trust and a willingness to explore new territory.
Beauty in Motion
The graphic shapes and lines of the shapes the performers create with the apparatus create a moving story.
Heads in the Clouds
Poignant but very light-hearted, Cover Me is a show about the power of taking risks and asking others in your life to back you up.
